How Emotional Dependence Creates Guilt and Self-Criticism Introduction I am going to share my personal experience about emotional dependence and how it creates problems like guilt and criticism in our lives. Two important questions guided my understanding: How did I get rid of problems like guilt and criticism? How painful are the consequences of emotional dependence? Although I worked honestly and with dedication, I often experienced negative thoughts and self-criticism. This was confusing because in my professional life as a teacher and trainer, I was known for positive energy and motivation. Even though I had a strong interest in spirituality and ethics, I sometimes reacted emotionally even when everything seemed fine. I started wondering — Where was the real problem?
